will play both the Tests on their tour of
Sri Lanka
next year at the
Galle
International Stadium.
Australia will play two Tests and a one-off ODI on their tour of the island nation in January-February 2025.
Sri Lanka
Cricket
finalized the venue for the two Tests on Friday while the ODI venue is yet to be decided.
The opening Test match is scheduled to start on January 29, followed by the second Test beginning February 6. The ODI will be played on February 13.
The Tests will be part of ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. Currently, India lead the standings, with Australia in second position and Sri Lanka occupying the third place.
The previous Australian tour to Sri Lanka in 2022 included matches across all formats. Sri Lanka emerged victorious in the ODI series, while Australia claimed the T20I series. The
Test series
ended in a draw with each team securing one win.
