Farmers need to adopt modern techniques & innovations: Birla

The speaker of the kota lok sabha, Om Birla, along with the union minister of state for agriculture, Kailash Choudhary, inaugurated the 2-day agriculture fair and exhibition at the Dussehra ground in Kota on Tuesday noon. State agriculture minister Lalchand Kataria and state cooperative minister Uday Lal Anjana were also present on the occasion. More than 75 startups on agriculture and farming have been exhibited in the fair, where on the first day a large number of farmers from nearby areas gathered to get a view and understanding on their functioning. Speaking on the occasion, Birla said, "With the usage of modern innovations and techniques, India's farmers can take it to the first row in world agriculture production. It is the power of farmers that they did not allow the shortage of wheat during the pandemic when production had dropped in every sector." India will be self-reliant only when the farmers adopt the innovations in agriculture, new techniques and trends to produce maximum output with less investment and larger output and sell the same in international markets.
