Ed Sheeran’s viral track Sapphire has unexpectedly found its way into the heart of Bollywood fandom with a glamorous desi reimagining. The AI-generated video which has taken social media by storm, features hyper-realistic recreations of the British singer with Bollywood icons from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan to Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, B-town couples Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and also Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. The clip also features South superstars like Rajinikanth, while Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Ram Charan feature on the sets of 'RRR' and Prabhas on the sets of 'Baahubali'.
The fan-made visual spectacle also blends in political figures, religious gurus, and sports stars including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.The video posted online showcases the stars all cheery as they wrap an arm around Sheeran and join him in the frame, much like his music video.
The video rendered using advanced artificial intelligence tools, impressed desi fans who quipped, "Wow.. Haters will say it's AI generated."Another lauded the page saying, "Bhai kyaa badhaiya use kiya hai Ai." While another declared, "Better than original."In the video Aishwarya appears in a regal saree loo while Salman is shown sharing a laugh with the singer in an autorickshaw and Shah Rukh features in his signature action-hero persona Pathaan on the sets. It also features Deepika and Ranveer in their Padmaavat setting while Sanjay Dutt features in his Munna Bhai look. Aamir also makes a brief appearance in his Gajini avatar while Ranbir rocks his Animal look.In the original music video, Shah Rukh Khan was the only Indian star to feature in the clip. The song that released a week ago, also features a verse by Indian artist Arijit Singh.
