CBSE Class 10 results declared

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 12 results for 2025 on May 13, marking the culmination of exams held between February 15 and April 4. Out of 17.04 lakh registered students, 16.92 lakh appeared and approximately 14.96 lakh passed, setting this year’s overall pass percentage at 88.39%—a slight improvement over 2024.

Girls once again outperformed boys, registering a pass rate of 91.64% compared to 85.70% among boys. Impressively, transgender candidates achieved a 100% pass rate, a dramatic rise from 50% the previous year.A total of 1.11 lakh students scored above 90%, and nearly 25,000 surpassed the 95% mark. CBSE Class 12th gender-wise pass percentage

  • Other metropolitan and urban centers also showcased strong outcomes:
  • Bengaluru recorded 95.95%, while Delhi West and Delhi East achieved 95.37% and 95.06%, respectively.
  • Regions such as Chandigarh (91.61%), Panchkula (91.17%), Pune (90.93%), and Ajmer (90.40%) demonstrated robust academic performances.

Regions with moderate success included:

  • Bhubaneswar (83.64%)
  • Guwahati (83.62%)
  • Dehradun (83.45%)
  • Patna (82.86%)
  • Bhopal (82.46%)

On the lower end of the spectrum:

  • Noida reported a pass percentage of 81.29%.
  • Prayagraj registered the lowest pass rate among all regions at 79.53%, signaling the need for renewed academic interventions and student support in the area.
