Biden attends grandson's graduation in first public appearance since cancer diagnosis

The teenager's father, Beau Biden, passed away in 2015. In Instagram photos by former first lady Jill Biden and daughter Ashley, the Democrat is seen alongside family members, celebrating Robert's high school graduation.

A pictures posted by Jill Biden included the caption, “Proud Nana and Pop! Congratulations Hunter — we are so proud of you.”In photos uploaded by Ashley Biden, her father was also spotted at an airport, though it is unclear which airport that was.

Last Sunday, the Democrat announced he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His personal office said in a statement, “President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”
