The Banaras Hindu Univeristy (BHU) is set to commence the counselling session for the Free of cost UPSC Civil Services preparation coaching programme.
According to the
official notice
released by the university, candidates who had appeared for the
entrance exam
and have qualified it, will be
eligible
to participate in the
counselling round
.
According to the official notice, the counselling round will take place on December 30 from 9AM to 5PM.
Candidates who are willing to take part in the counselling round, and are eligible, will be required to report to the Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence Cyber Library, situation within the university campus.
According to the Assistant Registrar, three times the number of candidates have been called for the counselling round as per the merit list, which was released based on candidates' performances in the entrnace exam.
The counselling round aims to fill a total of 100 seats in the UPSC Civil services free coaching programme.
A total of 300 candidates will be appearing in the counselling round scheduled for the month of December. The counselling round will comprise of both male and female candidates, belonging to Other backward classes (OBC), scheduled caste (SC); PwD candidates have also been shortlisted to appear for the interview.
The notice reads, "In the counselling, 147 male candidates from Scheduled Caste and 63 female candidates, as well as 63 male candidates from Other Backward Classes, 27 female candidates, and 10 disabled candidates have also been called."
