Bangladeshi actress Nusraat charged with attempted murder

Popular Bangladeshi actressNusraat Faria, known for her roles in ‘Hero (420)’, ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’, and ‘Operation Sunderbans,’ was recently arrested on Sunday on the charges of attempted murder. In a recent update, the actress has reportedly got bail as of now.

Nusraat Faria makes bail after being arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for attempted murder

Nusraat Faria, who was apparently on her way to Thailand, was stopped at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka by authorities and was later officially arrested. According to the Dhaka Tribune, the actress had submitted a statement, after which Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Mostafizur Rahman had officially granted her bail in the case.As per ANI, officials from the police also issued a statement regarding the actress’s arrest recently.

Specifically, Officer Mazharul Islam shared his statement over a call, sharing that "Nusraat Faria was detained at Dhaka Airport while going abroad. She is an accused in an attempted murder case. The detectives are questioning her. A decision will be taken later on whether she will be arrested or not."Inspector Sujan Haque of Vatara Police Station also shared a statement on her arrest as well. He stated that "Our team went to the airport to get her based on information from immigration police.

A few days ago, a court approved an attempted murder case against her. She has been known to be arrested in that case."

Why was Nusrat arrested?

As per reports, the actress was arrested on Sunday in relation to a case of attempted murder surrounding anti-government protests. Nusraat Faria is not the only actor who has been charged in this case. A total of 17 actors were charged for the attempted murder of a student. The crime was said to have taken place in the capital's Vatara area, where one of the uprisings took place last year in July.
