Asha on Kangana's 'fake B-Town friendships' remark

Bollywood actress Asha Parekh has weighed in on the recent remarks made by Kangana Ranaut, where the latter asserted that genuine friendships are non-existent in the Hindi film industry. Speaking at a News18 India event, Asha Parekh, who was present at the same interaction where Kangana made her comments, refuted the notion of widespread insincerity in Bollywood relationships.
During the event, the host touched on the subject by asking Asha Parekh about Kangana's statements regarding the prevalence of artificial friendships in the industry.

Asha Parekh strongly disagreed with Kangana's perspective and pointed to her own close and enduring friendships with fellow legendsWaheeda Rehman and Helen. She emphasised by asking if she had seen how close she, Waheeda ji, and Helen ji are, and also said that they have a strong friendship.
The host went on to inquire whether such strong and genuine bonds still exist in Bollywood today, to which Asha Parekh responded by posing a question to Kangana herself. She suggested asking Kangana why it doesn't exist anymore. Asha Parekh asked why Kangana hadn't been questioned about her personal efforts to build friendships.

Asha Parekh further underlined that forming friendships is an individual choice, emphasising that it's up to each person to decide whether they wish to forge connections with others. She reiterated that It is the personal choice of everyone, whether they want to be friends with someone or not. Asha said that one must ask Kangana why she doesn't make friends.
