, who was slated to participate in a campaign event within the state.
The arrest of the 66-year-old took place at roughly 2:30 pm local time in Cochise County, where Syvrud was taken into custody without any resistance. As per the

Sheriff's Office, Syvrud had been posting threatening messages on social media directed at Trump over the course of the past two days.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office provided an update via social media, saying, "This subject has been taken into custody without incident."
Trump was visiting the US border with Mexico as part of his campaign on Thursday.

When asked about the manhunt, Trump said, "I haven't heard about that. They probably want to keep it from me. Thank you for telling me. Let's get out of here, right now," the Fox news reported.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a recent scare involving Trump where the former president narrowly evaded an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was grazed by a bullet.
Earlier this month, a comparable case unfolded in Virginia where a 66-year-old man was arrested for allegedly threatening Vice President Kamala Harris and other public figures.
