Akshay to sue Paresh for Rs 25 crore for Hera Pheri 3

The much-awaited comedy sequel ‘Hera Pheri 3’ again hit a controversial twist. Actor Paresh Rawal, who played the unforgettable Baburao, shocked everyone last week by announcing that he would no longer be part of the film.

And now, things have taken a legal turn.As per a Hindustan Times report, Akshay Kumar’s production company, Cape of Good Films, has sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal asking for Rs 25 crore in damages. T

he production house claims Rawal acted unprofessionally by quitting after signing the contract and starting the shoot. The report further revealed that Rawal was being paid “more than three times his usual fee” for this project.The report mentioned, “Paresh showed a blatant disregard for professional ethics and business conduct. If he had no intention of completing the film, he should have said so before signing the contract, accepting the advance, and causing the producer to invest heavily in the shoot.”The report further added, “It’s time Bollywood actors understand that, just like Hollywood, producers here won’t tolerate actors flouting contracts and walking out of projects at will.”

Fans Left HeartbrokenThe ‘Hera Pheri’ films have a huge fan base, especially on social media, where fans eagerly await every update. Rawal’s exit has left many fans feeling upset and frustrated. The report mentioned, “Paresh himself announced his involvement on X in January, actively participated in pre-production, and shot for a day including the teaser promo. He never raised any concerns until now. To suddenly back out and hurt the franchise’s loyal fans, as well as cause financial losses to the producer, is clearly an act of bad faith.

”No Creative Differences, Says Paresh RawalRumours quickly spread about possible creative disagreements or money issues causing Rawal’s exit. However, the actor denied these claims on his X account, saying, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”The ‘Hera Pheri’ series is one of Bollywood’s most loved comedy franchises. The first two films were huge hits and have a cult following. The third film was highly awaited, with stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal returning to their famous roles. Filming began in April under director Priyadarshan. Akshay Kumar is also the producer of ‘Hera Pheri 3’, having bought the rights from Feroz Nadiadwala.
