Director duo

Abbas-Mustan

, who are known for their iconic collaborations with Shah Rukh Khan in films like

Baazigar

and

Baadshah

, recently revealed the lack of a compelling

script

tailored to the superstar's expertise and expectations has been a primary hurdle in moving forward with their next venture together.
In an interview with Radio Nasha, Abbas-Mustan shared that they have been constantly making efforts to bring together their creative vision with

Shah Rukh

Khan's talent.

The duo also expressed their admiration for SRK's continued respect for them.
Abbas-Mustan mentioned, "We have done a lot of meetings, and even today when we meet Shah Rukh or go to his house, he still meets us with so much respect and gives us time. He never made us feel that he is not the old Shah Rukh Khan. We will surely do a film with him, definitely. But we don’t have a script for him."
Speaking about SRK's enthusiasm for fresh and engaging content, Abbas-Mustan revealed, "Whenever we meet Shah Rukh Khan, he asks, 'Kuch laaye ho? Anything exciting?' We have not received anything that might be new to him. Aisa koi script he nahi hai. He is an expert. He can play any role. If we get, we will obviously work with him.”

Shah Rukh Khan and little Abram share a cute banter at the Eden Gardens

A couple of days ago, in a conversation on Star Sports, Shah Rukh revealed that he is going to start shooting for his next film in June. He said, "I felt I can rest a little. Teen filmein kar chuka hoon, all of which required a lot of physical work. I told the KKR team that main matches ko aaunga (I'll be attending matches) this time. Fortunately, meri shooting ab August main hain, ya July... we plan in June, toh June se shuru hojayegi. So, I would love to come to all the home matches because coming to Kolkata feels like coming home to me. It's important for me to be here, so I don't schedule according to my work, but I try my best to be here for all the matches."

SRK returned to the silver screen with Siddharth Anand's Pathaan in January 2023 after his sabbatical of four years. He then returned to theatres in September with Atlee's Jawan, followed by Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki in December.
